Is Rick Perry Bought and Paid for By Big Pharma?

Texas Governor Rick Perry was in the news again defending his executive order to mandate teenage girls in the state of Texas to be inoculated with the HPV vaccine Gardasil. During the GOP debate, House Tea Party Caucus founder and presidential hopeful Rep. Michele Bachmann R-Minnesota had alleged that Perry accepted campaign cash from the Drug Company Merck to promote the vaccine. Perry responded that he had only received $5,000 and that he was offended.

Gardasil, a vaccine that is designed to guard against the human papillomavirus (HPV) which is the primary cause of cervical cancer in women. There are 18 stands of the papillomavirus and Gardasil only protects against 4 of the strands yet if Perry’s mandate had been allowed to stick it would have meant that little girls in the 6^th grade and up would have to be vaccinated. Even though the mandate was overturned two months later, many young girls were vaccinated some with horrible injuries and deaths.

Recent investigation of Perry’s involvement with Merck and other drug companies has produced some astounding results. According to a new report by Texans for Public Justice, Perry was given $28,500 from Merck since January 2001. Merck also gave $377,500 to the Republican Governors Association, which was one of the biggest backers of Perry’s campaign. Perry’s former chief of staff and friend, Mike Toomey, jumped through the revolving door and became a lobbyist for Merck during the same time period of the HPV executive order.

In 2009 another Drug Company, GlaxoSmithKline, the maker of Cervarix another HPV vaccine had also given about the same amount of money to Perry’s gubernatorial campaign. GlasoSmithKline had already pledged nearly four times as much as Merck to the Republican Governors Association since 2006. Novartis Pharmaceuticals donated $700.000 to the Republican Governors Association since 2006, being careful to only directly donate $5,000 to Perry. Perry signed a bill into law in 2009 mandating a Novartis vaccine for meningitis, which required all college students to get the shot. And three otherpharmaceutical companies have also given more money to Perry than Merck with substantially moregoing to the Republican Governors Association than what Merck had paid.

It turns out that Perry has benefited much more than the mere $5,000 he initially claimed and from many different drug companies. Is it a coincidence that Rick Perry would try to mandate the drug Gardasil to innocent little girls? After all do you really believe pharmaceutical companies donate hundred of thousands of dollars to campaigns because they just like the guy? No, they must receive something in return. Pharmaceutical companies have to answer to their stockholders and there must be a darn good reason to spend that kind of loot without some guarantee of profits on the money.

Rick Perry says he hates cancer. Is that the reason he tried to force parents to inoculate their daughter with Gardasil? Both Gardasil and Cervarix are still being marketed as a method to prevent cervical cancer. In fact, the manufactures of Gardasil also want little boys to be injected as well. The safety of Gardasil has been disputed even since the clinical trials. There have been over 43 deaths, 348 females have become disabled and 2,786 women have not recovered from the effects of this vaccine. Still it remains approved by the FDA. Besides being highly dangerous it is ineffective.

The Judicial Watch, investigated the side effects of the HPV vaccine. "The FDA adverse event reports on the HPV vaccine read like a catalog of horrors. Any state of local government now beset by Merck’s lobbying campaigns to mandate this HPV vaccine for young girls ought to take a look at these adverse health reports."

A report from Natural News, reveals the results of testing done on vials of Gardasil. SANE Vax, Inc. found over a dozen Gardasil vaccine vials to be contaminated with rDNA of the human papillomavirus. Dr. Sin Hang Lee found rDNA from both HPV-11 and HPV-18. He describes this as being, "firmly attached to the aluminum adjuvant." The aluminum found in the vaccine is damaging and toxic to the nervous system and with the added discovery that the aluminum adjuvant also carries rDNA fragments in two different strains is similar to levels reaching a biohazard.

In addition the rDNA being found to be contaminated it is a genetically engineered form of the HPV genetic code. Genetically engineered rDNA is known to react differently from natural DNA with the engineered version, consequences are hard to predict. What this means is that this genetically engineered material can stay in a cell temporally or stay in a cell forever. The cell now contains DNA and the genetically engineered rDNA within it.

With all the data on Gardasil you might wonder why it is still approved by the FDA. The FDA seems to work at less than a snails pace when pulling dangerous drugs off the market. Sometimes it takes thousands of deaths before a drug is pulled. Meanwhile, it is business as usual for big pharma and divisive politicians who choose to line their pockets at the expense of the innocent.
